The Platinum sensors measure nitrous oxide in 0-1000ppm and 0-1% volume ranges.

Nitrous oxide sensors, also known as N2O gas sensors, play a critical role in wide ranging applications and contribute to safety, environmental protection, and proper process control across a variety of industries.

Nitrous oxide is used as an anesthetic gas in medical and dental procedures. N2O sensors measure the gas concentration through infrared absorption and ensures accurate concentrations of the gas are administered and medical staff are protected from the effects of continuous exposure.

N2O sensors are crucial in detecting leakages in industrial and food industry processes, semiconductor manufacturing and AgTech solutions.

In semiconductor manufacturing, N2O serves as a reaction gas for coating circuit board surfaces, underscoring the importance of accurate and reliable N2O sensing technology.

In the food industry, where N2O is used for anesthesia or foaming milk products, precise mixing ratios are essential for achieving the desired outcomes.

In AgTech, nitrous oxide is used with the aim to strike a balance between increasing agricultural productivity and sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of nitrous oxide emissions from farming activities.

The sensors are available in Platinum and Standard Series. The Platinum Series sensors contain all the necessary optics, electronics and firmware to provide a linearized, temperature-compensated output. The Standard Series provide a 'raw' signal output which require the user to provide their own drive electronics and software to derive the gas concentration, apply linearization and temperature compensation.
