Gas Sensor 'Ex' and EN 50271 (SIL 1) Certification Data
Dynament offers OEM Gas Detector Manufacturers a range of sensor options:-
'Ex' Hazardous Area Certified Types - these are 'component certified' for use in potentially explosive atmospheres as detailed in the table below.
'Ex' Hazardous Area Certified Types (as above) but including EN50270 (SIL1) certified software. The software certification forms part of the 'European ATEX Certification' shown in the table below.
The 'Ex' types above are intended for use directly within hazardous area certified portable or fixed gas detection equipment provided that their use is permitted by the equipment manufacturer's certification documents.
'Non-Ex' Types - these are for use in a 'safe area' where no explosion hazard is known to exist or, in applications where the gas detector manufacturer provides the necessary 'Ex' hazardous area protection concept.
'Non-Ex' Types (as above) but including EN50270 (SIL1) certified software - these are in accordance with SIRA 'Functional Safety Certificate FSP 14002/01, a copy of which is available upon request.
