Description
A combined High Resolution Methane (Hydrocarbon) and Carbon Dioxide sensor providing accurate measurement of gas levels using infrared gas sensing techniques. Various versions are available with combinations of ranges up to 100% volume Methane (CH4) and 5% volume Carbon Dioxide (CO2). They consume the power of a single infrared sensor and therefore provide prolonged battery life when used within portable gas detectors.
The Hydrocarbon channel provides simultaneous readings for both High Resolution Methane and Propane.
- Hydrocarbon Channel Resolution - 0.01% for range 0 to 10% Vol. and 0.1% for range 10% to 100% Vol. (CH4)
- Carbon Dioxide Channel Resolution - 0.01% Vol. (CO2)
The sensors are contained in an Ex d stainless steel housing and are hazardous area certified to IECEx, ATEX and UL standards. The IECEx and ATEX certification also includes Group I (mining) certification. Further information.
A separately available Configuration Unit enables users to customise certain parameters within the Premier sensor in order to suit their particular requirements - see below.
Sensor Order Codes
The sensors are within the Dual-Gas Premier Series which commence with the code MSH-DP/HC/CO2 followed by additional codes to select positive or negative supply and filter option. Refer to end of the Technical Data Sheet for details.
(Note - infrared sensors cannot be used to detect Hydrogen)
Configuration Unit
The Premier Sensor Configuration unit enables users to customise certain parameters within the Premier sensor in order to suit their particular requirements. The unit is supplied complete with a PC software configuration package. Versions of the unit are available for either positive or negative supply sensors. Ordering details are as follows:
Positive version - Type P/CONFIG/POS
Negative version - Type P/CONFIG/NEG
