Description
Standard series infrared gas sensors provide a 'raw' signal output which needs to be be fed into external processing electronics and software. This may either be provided by the equipment manufacturer or by use of a purpose-designed OEM board available from Dynament Ltd.
They are are intended for use either in non-certified gas detection equipment or in hazardous area certified equipment where the equipment manufacturer provides the necessary protection by means of a separately certified explosion protected housing.
The sensors are contained in a gold plated plastic housing with holes at the top for the gas to enter. The design ensures a minimum response time to gas in applications where the sensor is to be fitted within a separately certified explosion protected housing protected by a sintered flame arrestor such as a sinter.
The construction of the non-certified types provide a small cost saving compared with the certified types.
The sensors can be used to measure Carbon Dioxide gas within a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. The standard measurement ranges that are available are provided by two different sensor types, one covers the ranges 0-1000ppm up to 0-5% volume CO2 and the other type covers the range 0-100% volume CO2.

OEM Board for use with Standard Series Sensors
Dynament can provide this board for original equipment manufacturers who do not wish to develop their own electronics and software. It provides a ready built and tested micro-controller based circuit board for use with its sensors.
The micro-controller contains all the necessary software and signal processing algorithms to enable the user to minimise the time-to-market of their product/s. Custom software development facilities are also available.
